Tuition (2025-2026)*

Lower School: $34,000

Middle School: $35,000

*Tuition for the 2026-2027 school year will be determined in January 2026.

Tuition covers the cost of the regular school day program. Hudson Lab School offers two payment plans through Clarity, designed to meet the budgetary needs of our families: 

  1. Standard Plan: Tuition can be paid in two installments, from June 2026 to January 2027.

  2. Flex10 Plan: Tuition can be paid in a 10-month payment plan, from June 2026 to March 2027.

  • A 10% deposit is due upon enrollment, which is credited towards tuition.

  • We offer a 5% sibling discount applied to the tuition of all subsequent siblings.

  • Payment can be made by automatic or online bank transfer from a checking/savings account, or by credit/debit card.

  • There are two non-refundable fees due with the enrollment agreement to reserve a student’s space in our school.

Financial Aid

We recognize that an independent school education is a significant investment in your child’s future, and we are deeply committed to making an HLS education affordable and accessible. Hudson Lab School offers comprehensive financial aid packages to provide full access to school programs and community events. We consider each family's specific financial situation to determine their financial aid awards. We make a concerted effort to meet the demonstrated financial need of every admitted or enrolled student who applies for aid. While we do our best, our resources may not always cover the full need of every applicant.

Financial Aid Application Process

Financial Aid Applications Deadline: January 5, 2026

STEP 1: Complete Clarity Financial Aid Application Form

Hudson Lab School utilizes the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information provided in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly, allowing you to complete it from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, a $60 submission fee is required. Additionally, you can share your application with other schools that accept the Clarity Application at no extra charge. Use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools. 

STEP 2: Complete and upload additional documents in Clarity.

You can add any information that may help us better understand your family situation in the Comments section or by appending any additional documentation.

STEP 3: Upload your Tax Return with all attachments to your Clarity account by January 5, 2026.

Hudson Lab School requires you to upload additional tax documentation, including your most recent tax return (by January 5, 2026). Due to the high volume of Financial Assistance applications and the limited timeframe for awarding funds, all required documents must be submitted by the deadline for both returning and new students. Families will be notified of financial aid decisions before a binding enrollment commitment is required. All information submitted during the Financial Aid process is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
