Junior CIT Camper Program

Curious about what it takes to be a summer camp counselor? The Junior CIT Camper Program is the perfect first step for tweens entering Grades 6-8 who want to experience camp from a new perspective! This hands-on program bridges the gap between camper and Counselor-in-Training (CIT), offering a behind-the-scenes look at how camp operates while still keeping the fun and adventure of being a camper.

With guidance from experienced staff, Junior CITs will explore key skills in being part of a team—all through interactive activities and real camp experiences. Whether helping to set up a project, organizing supplies for choice time activities, or assisting with a group game, they play an active role in creating a fun and engaging environment for our Grade K-5 campers. Through this guided experience, Junior CITs will gain an understanding of the responsibilities that come with being a summer camp counselor. This immersive program empowers Junior CIT participants to build self-confidence, grow as young team players, and take their first steps into the world of work—all while experiencing the joy and excitement of camp!

The Junior CIT Camper Program is designed to build confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility in learning the ropes of camp life. It’s the perfect opportunity for campers who are excited to take their first step toward becoming a future summer camp counselor!
