What is a typical day at Camp Hudson?

Within this daily structure, our youngest campers have time to tinker with several fun interludes within each Tinkering, Nature or Making session while our older campers have the opportunity to get into FLOW. During play / choice time, campers have a plethora of choice including working on their own project, building with Legos, reading a book, playing games outdoors, running around the sprinklers, exploring, etc.


What is a typical session at Camp Hudson?

Each session at Camp Hudson has a unique theme. On our first day together, we introduce the week's challenge, introduce some big ideas out there in the world as inspiration, and teach kids how to use real tools. Over the course of the two weeks, we play, think up lots of creative ideas, work together, build, test our ideas, and play some more. We will host an exhibition on the afternoon of the second Thursday to show parents, Andrus residents and members of the community our fabulous work. Our last day of camp gives us time to play with our amazing creations and reflect on our process.


Health Forms

Please send in your child's annual health form (including immunization schedule) completed by your child's doctor within the past year to The form you send into your child's school works great. (Please note, because we are located within a nursing home, all children attending Camp Hudson must be fully vaccinated according to the vaccination schedule set by the Department of Health.)



Our 4-day intensive “Candy Land” costs $540. (We are closed on July 3 for the July 4th holiday)

All other sessions cost $1250.

We offer multi session and sibling discounts outlined below. To find out pricing for the weeks and number of children you are interested in, please click the Rates & Discounts button to begin the enrollment process to see what rates and discounts apply to your family.


  • Multi-Session Discount of 4% off starting at 3 sessions

  • Sibling Discounts with 5% off for a second sibling and 7% off for a third sibling and beyond

Payment Plan Options

  • Pay in full at time of registration and you can cross this off your to do list

  • Tuition split between time of registration, on March 1 and on May 1

Payment Options

  • Checks accepted at no additional charge.

  • Credit card payments will incur a 2.9% convenience fee

Refund Policy

  • We will refund camp tuition (less the credit card processing fee) with a $100 cancellation fee before May 15. After May 15, we’ll refund 50% of tuition up to two weeks before your camp week. Within two weeks before your camp session start, no tuition will be refunded.


Lunch at Camp

Campers at Camp Hudson bring snack and lunch from home to eat at camp. Packing your camper an ample, nutritious lunch makes for a fun, well-supported day at camp. Please be aware we are a nut-free camp. (If you do send in a sandwich that may look like peanut butter, please label the sandwich or let your child know that it is a nut-free sandwich.)


Daily Packing Checklist

  • Nutritious snack and lunch with NO NUTS. (If you do send in a sandwich that may look like peanut butter, please label the sandwich or let your child know that it is a nut-free sandwich.)

  • Refillable water bottle labelled with your child's name

  • A change of clothes and towel (for playing in the sprinklers)

  • Sunscreen and bug spray already applied (plus extra for later in the day)

  • Rain gear for rainy days

Before & After Camp Care

Camp Hudson offers Before Camp Care from 8:30 - 9:30 am and After Camp Care from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. The cost is $12.50 per session. We cannot guarantee last-minute requests for extended hours care, but we will try our best. If you have any questions, please contact us at or (914) 775-7058. Half-Days & Busing

Currently we do not offer camp half-days, but may consider it at a later date. As well, given enough interest, we will offer busing at $150/week from Westchester and $175/week from Upper Manhattan.

Financial Assistance

This year Camp Hudson is creating the Camp Hudson Fund to help provide assistance to families who strongly believe in our camp philosophy and mission, but cannot afford to send their child/ren to camp. The maximum amount of aid possible is 25% off of tuition. If this might make camp financially feasible for your family, please proceed with an application.
